History

Radioclub Domzale was founded in 1955. The founders were basically members of the young technician club and active members of the ham union of Slovenia (ZRS), who worked on middle-wave transmitter of the national TV company.

At first, basic radioclub activity was to gain more members and to get some equipment. In 1958 we built for those days the modernest HF transmitter in Slovenia for all ham HF frequencies with 100W output.

Youth In all these days we were involved in many activities. But our basic goal was to educate youth for ham operating, home constructions and fox hunting (ARDF). Currently we have near 100 registered ham operators.

In 1974 we built a contest location, a small wodden cottage 'Murka', on Menina Mt. (1508m a.s.l.) and a 35m high antenna tower. Building of the location took a lot of free work from us and also with some voluntary contributions we built an excellent contest location, from which we are heard all over the world at first with callsign YU3C and now S53CAB, S51CAB and S50C. contest location
